ABOUT OUR HOSPITAL

To be a Veterinary Hospital we have to meet Royal College Standards, as well as requirements needed to be a General Practice. In addition we must:
-
Ensure nursing staff are present on the premises giving round the clock care
-
A veterinary surgeon available 24 hours a day
-
Maintain and improve clinical standards by monitoring performance and the outcome of treatments
-
Provide a range of specialist equipment, such as specific diagnostic equipment (ECG and ultrasound)
-
Submit to rigorous examination of our premises and facilities, with emphasis on cleanliness and sterility
de Montfort Veterinary Hospital is always a hub of activity. There are many areas of work to be done. From consulting with you and examining your pet, through to xrays, blood and other laboratory diagnostic work and operating. Most importantly we strive to provide a caring and sympathetic environment for you and your pet.
ā
Much of our work takes place in areas of the building that you usually do not see.

Planning to take your pet abroad after 29th March?
-
Currently nobody knows the outcome of Brexit
-
there is a chance that the existing Pet Passport scheme may not suffice for clients wishing to travel with their pet after 29th March.
-
If you need to travel in the first three months after 29th March we recommend taking a ‘belt and braces’ approach which means your pet will need additional tests and documentation to minimise the risk of disruption.
Please book an appointment to discuss this further.
