  • Please ring the practice to order medication/food and discuss any concerns that you may have with your pet, as normal.

  • Please allow 48 hours for prescription and food requests.

  • If you are asked to attend the practice, please inform us if any of the following apply to you:-

    • If you have been in close contact with anyone who has been confirmed, or is suspected to have Covid-19

    • If you have recently returned from, or have been in contact with someone who has returned from abroad

    • If you are showing symptoms of, or have been in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms (high temperature/new continuous cough), however mild.

  • We ask that only one client per pet attends the appointment.

  • If you are self-isolating, we ask that where it is safe to do so, a friend or family member bring the pet to the practice.

  • Please do not arrive too early for your appointment to reduce waiting time.

  • you will find that our doors are now closed to the public.  PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE PRACTICE.

  • On arrival please call the usual practice number (01386 446 095) to inform the staff that you have arrived and await further instruction.  Preferably, please remain inside your car.

  • If you are collecting medication or food, a member of staff (wearing appropriate protective clothing) will bring it out to you in the car park.

  • If you are attending for an appointment please remain in the car park and the Vet/Nurse will come out to, once the vet has rung you to discuss your pet’s aliment. Please make sure you have your mobile phone available for us to contact you. To maintain social distancing we are taking your pet from you to be examined in the consult room and will then call you to discuss our findings and any treatment options.

  • If talking to our staff in the Car Park please adhere to the 2 metre rule to maintain social distancing

  • The vet will then dispense any medications required and you will be asked to make a payment over the phone.

  • A member of our team will then bring your pet and any medication out to you in the car park.

  • Please note that if your pet requires hospitalisation you will not be able to visit them during this time.

  • During this period we appreciate that some owners may need to make some difficult decisions regarding their pet's quality of life. We have protocols in place for euthanasia, please ring to discuss.
